The Monte Vista Wellness Center, run by Mrs. C, is an additional student support to help mediate and empower students through a variety of challenges they might experience during the day. The Wellness Center provides a variety of supports for our campus community including:
  • Crisis Support
  • Mental Health Resources
  • Classroom Lessons on Mental Health
  • Group Sessions (for empowerment, executive functioning, and more)
  • Check-Ins (for conflicts, stress, personal struggles, and more)
  • Monthly Wellness Newsletter (Monarch Mindset) sent to students and staff!
  • Regular De-Stress and Student Support Events (ex. De-Stress Fest before Finals, lunchtime events, etc.)
Students can self-advocate to schedule meetings with Mrs. C or receive support via referral from a staff member!

The Wellness Center also runs two Support Clubs during Wednesdays (alternating every other week):
  1. Club Inspire, an inclusive club for students of all ability levels.  The purpose of the club is to increase the opportunities for ALL members of the club to participate in social/recreational events.
  2. Bring Change to Mind, a club that seeks to raise awareness of and normalize mental health. They hope to reduce the stigma associated with mental health on Monte Vista’s campus and in our community.
