The Monarch Library has a wide range of genres and collections to meet every students' needs and interests! We try very hard to keep up with the hype of new titles, up & coming books to the big screen, and so much more! We are hoping to start up monthly events in the library such as Bookmark decorating, Book to Big Screen movie showings, and other engaging activities. If you have any questions about a book that is not in our library, please submit a request form and we will try our best to fulfill it!

Besides great reads, we also have our amazing Site Technician connected to the library for Chromebook and campus electronic assistance during school hours. Partnered with San Diego State University, we have MFT therapy for our students that is free of charge and funded by MVHS Student Support Services! Before and after school, we have a "Homework Center" for students to attend to do school work, use library supplies, or to even find a comforting space to wind down. Monarch Library is always making an effort to expand opportunities and the tools of success for our students, staff, and community.

About the Library Technician:
My name is Joey Fontenot and I am the campus Library Technician! I am also an MVHS Alumni, Class of 2016, "We Do It BIG!". I have multiple roles on campus such as Head Varsity Cheer Coach-Advisor and Link Crew Coordinator. My main goal as the Library Technician is to keep the library as lively as possible. While providing exceptional service experiences, I'd like to ensure that Monarch Library is exceeding expectations as the welcoming-safe zone for students in more ways than one.
