Dual Enrollment Overview

Dual Enrollment Courses are college credit courses that students can take at Monte Vista High School as a part of the regular school day! No travel or movement towards a college campus necessary. In partnership with Cuyamaca College, students can take college credit classes taught on campus by Monte Vista faculty. This is done through the California College & Career Access Pathways (CCAP) program.

These are separate from Advanced Placement (AP) Courses which are college-level classes that require the passing of College Board's AP Exam to receive credit. If a student passes a Dual Enrollment course, the credit and their grade will be in their college transcript!
