California Healthy Kids Survey

posted Oct 27, 2015, 10:39 AM by Valerie Vitkauskas
The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) will be administered to every ninth- and eleventh-grade student during the month of November. This anonymous, 45-minute survey is used to gather information about school climate and factors that affect learning such as truancy, safety, harassment, substance use, and school connectedness.

The survey is part of the Cal-SCHLS, a comprehensive student health risk and resilience assessment tool for students, staff and parents. The information provided will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, improve student achievement, and reduce health risks that stand as barriers to learning.

If you do not want your student to participate in the survey, please notify Mrs. Broadfoot at or 619-660-3012 before November 2, 2015.
