E111  Reading 1/2 & 3/4 
This course is taken simultaneously with English 1C/2C. The first phase will be identification of reading difficulties, 
followed by small group and individual instruction. Word attack skills, reading speed and comprehension will receive 
major emphasis.

This one semester class will examine the Bible, both the old and new testaments as well as many scholarly 
sources from linguistics, archaeology and history.  The approach will be rhetorical and analytical.

E280 Film As Literature 1C
This course provides an academic study of motion picture film. Films are studied in depth from how films are created to how this art is achieved through control of such things as camera, lighting and angle.

E470  Shakespeare/British Lit 1C 

This one semester class will explore the works of Shakespeare, in addition to other British authors. The students 
will work individually as well as with groups.  Additionally, the class will focus on critical thinking and writing skills in preparation for college course work.

E494  Multicultural Literature 1C

The rich diversity of other cultures (Black, Asian, Hispanic, and Indian) and the styles and themes of multicultural writers will be discussed and analyzed.
